It’s been awhile since Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott was on the scene. She exploded into our ear drums in 1996 with her debut album “Supa Dupa Fly” and cemented her place in the legacy of hip-hop. A talented singer, rapper, songwriter and producer, you couldn’t turn on the radio in the 90s and early 2000s without hearing a Missy Elliott- produced track. At one point she was being called “Puff Mama”.
However, Missy stepped out of the limelight to take care of her health, as she revealed she had been dealing with Graves’ Disease. But Missy is back. She had been making her way around the media circuit not only to give people an update on her health and status of her new album, but she has also been performing at festivals and popping up at the Super Bowl.
Today, Missy dropped the visuals for “WTF” ft. Pharrell Williams and I. LOVE. IT. The track stays true to Missy’s signature style, which could be been seen as street eccentric. Full of fresh dances moves and a cameo from the ultra talented Les Twins, this videos reminds us of why Missy is the amazing artist she is and why she will continue to be an important piece of Hip Hop history.
Turn the volume up. Push Play. Dance.
